Cultural & Event Committee
SIMSR has formed an Anti-Ragging committee according to the mandatory requirements of the University of Mumbai. Its main agenda is to prevent any sort of ragging i.e. either mental or physical that can be forced upon the students. The college management tries to ensure that the students are not ragged either within the college neither outside it. SIMSR follows a tradition that all the students i.e. the seniors and the fresher’s should behave like one big happy family and the question of ragging does not arise at all.
A Senior Professor is in-charge of the cell and supported by number of faculty members from all the departments catering to all the students of all courses. The cell basically works on the following model for the student disciplinary functions. The faculty members attached to the cell work very hard in identifying the students who are off the track and work continuously to place them to a better state with full coordination from their parents/local guardians. This is a continuous untiring, unnoticed and unpublished appreciable effort from the faculty and all concerned
